Default Payment Method

Many online shoppers abandon carts because checkout is long or confusing. Setting a default payment method removes one decision. It also nudges customers toward the merchant's preferred option — useful when one method carries lower fees or better settlement terms.

01

Automatically preselect a payment method

The chosen option appears pre-selected at checkout.

02

Multi-store support

Apply the same default payment method across different shops.

03

Real-time selection updates

If the customer changes payment method, the selection updates automatically.

04

Compatible with all PrestaShop payment methods.

05

Reduces checkout friction and the abandonment it causes.

06

Steers volume toward a preferred payment method

Meaningful when methods differ in fees.
